Dr. Abdelkareem Mohammed Abd Abu Mustafa, born in 1991 in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, is a Palestinian author, novelist, researcher, and psychologist. He is the founder of the Smart Palestinian Youth Parliament (PYSP), an independent national platform fostering youth participation, democratic leadership, and modern AI technologies in public decision-making.
He holds a Ph.D. in Psychological and Educational Counseling from Al-Aqsa University, alongside Master's and Bachelor's degrees in the same field, bringing over fourteen years of professional and frontline experience in mental health, psychosocial support (MHPSS), child protection, case management, and emergency response.
Throughout his career, he has led dozens of humanitarian and development initiatives with prestigious local and international organizations, including UNRWA, MA'AN Development Center, Mercy Corps, Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP), Humanity & Inclusion, UHCC, and the National Society for Rehabilitation.
His academic and research focus spans psychological trauma, resilience, conflict-zone mental health, adaptive coping mechanisms, and post-war meaning reconstruction, drawn directly from lived fieldwork with affected children and families in the Gaza Strip.
As an acclaimed literary figure, he weaves psychological depth with human storytelling to chronicle Palestinian resilience, memory, displacement, and hope. His prominent works include the novel 'Deferred Sins' (خطايا مؤجلة) and literary narratives such as 'Returnee from Netzarim' (عائد من نتساريم).

The Smart Palestinian Youth Parliament (PYSP) is a national digital youth platform aimed at empowering Palestinian youth and developing their capabilities in leadership, dialogue, innovation, and AI.
We operate as an inclusive platform providing a simulated parliamentary environment that allows youth to draft, discuss, and refine legislative and community proposals with modern tech tools.
The Youth Parliament emerged from a deep belief that youth are the true wealth of society, and that investing in their minds and skills is the way to build a Palestinian society capable of facing challenges and driving positive change.
The Parliament focuses on integrating modern technologies and generative AI models to enable youth to make evidence-based and data-driven decisions.
